Side Effects From A Quick Colon Cleansing

When you take a product or use a diet that is meant to cleanse the colon quickly over a few days, there will be a short period, usually lasting a few days, when there are many toxins released in the bloodstream. This is a result of the loosening of the plaque in the colon and intestines.

Because of the loosened toxins, you can experience nausea, dizziness, headaches and digestive discomfort. You can even get sick with flu or cold at that time. Some people even report feeling anxious or depressed because of the waste products that are flowing through the body.

If you want to avoid these side effects, it is recommended that you try a plan that will allow for a gradual and natural colon cleansing. You can achieve this by following a colon cleanse diet.

Gradual Cleansing of Colon Through Diet

An example of such a diet is the introduction of raw foods into the your diet until 50% of the daily intake is raw food.

When the 50% raw food intake is achieved, a spoonful of linseed or flaxseed is taken daily.

Water Is Important To Colon Cleansing

Water is an important component in a cleansing of colon diet because of its cleansing effects  in the digestive tract and the entire body. Water will help draw the toxins from the body.

When you are eating 50% raw foods daily, then you should also be drinking at least 8 glasses of water daily. Sipping it slowly all day is an easy way to drink this amount of water. It is recommended that a pint of warm or hot water is taken before breakfast.
