The following supplements are found helpful in reducing symptoms of anxiety and
are believed to help decrease the intensity and frequency of panic attacks.
The dosages that are listed are for adults, unless otherwise specified. When
giving to children between the ages of 12 and 17, reduce the dose to 3/4 the
recommended amount.
Before starting any natural supplements, you need to check with your doctor to
rule out other medical problems that may resemble anxiety and the recommended
supplements should be approved and monitored by your health care provider.

|
Take 2,000
milligrams daily. Calcium is a natural tranquilizer.
Best if taken in combination with Magnesium, 600-1,000
mg daily. Magnesium relieves anxiety, tension, and
nervousness. |

| Plus Selenium
-- 100-200
micrograms daily. If pregnant, do not exceed 40
micrograms daily. A powerful antioxidant that protects
the heart. People with anxiety are found to have low
levels of selenium. |

400 milligrams
twice a day. A natural anti-depressant and has a calming
effect.
Caution: Do not take if you have a
manic-depressive disorder or if you are on prescription
anti-depressant. |
Vitamin B

three times daily with meals. Calms nerves and helps

doses. Caution: Do not substitute with niacin. Niacin
can be toxic in high doses. |

5,000 to 10,000
milligrams daily in divided doses. Can have a powerful
tranquilizing effect in high doses and helps the body in
dealing with stress. |
| Vitamin E |
As directed on
label. Fights free radicals and facilitate oxygen
transport to brain and cells. Use d-alpha-tocopherol
form. |
| Zinc |
50-80
milligrams daily. Do not exceed 100 milligrams daily
from all supplements. Calms central nervous system. |

| Chromium
Picolinate |
200 micrograms
daily. Chromium deficiency is believed to produce
anxiety symptoms. |

DL-Phenylalanine |
600-1200
milligrams daily. For chronic anxiety. Increases
production of endorphines that aid in relieving anxiety
symptoms and stress. Discontinue use if no improvement in 1 week. Do not take
if you are pregnant, nursing, or suffer from
hypertension, panic attacks, diabetes, or PKU. |
| L- Glutamine |
500 milligrams
three times daily on empty stomach. Has a mild
tranquilizing effect.Do not take with milk. For better absorption, take with
50 mg Vit B6 and 100 milligrams Vit C. |
| Plus L-tyrosine

three times daily on empty stomach. Helps relieve
anxiety and depression. Do not take if you are taking
MAO inhibitor drug. |
