Find Vitamins For Hair Loss

In an ideal world, you would able to prevent hair loss in the first place by eating right, exercising regularly and managing your stress. However, the real world does have a nasty way of messing up these plans. With our increasingly hectic lives, we have far more on our minds than taking vitamins for hair loss. But when the hair starts to go, suddenly we want to know everything about preventing or reversing further hair loss. Some people have found that vitamins for hair loss helped their heads.

The Worker "B"s

Studies in lab animals have shown that if they didn't get enough of the B-family of vitamins, they suffered hair loss. B-vitamins, fortunately, are useful for a wide variety of bodily functions that just happens to include maintaining hair growth. B-vitamins can be found in foods like bananas, bran and beans but can also be taken as a supplement without a prescription.

The B-vitamins for hair loss you want to focus on are B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid) and B6 (pyridoxine). In case you are taking a multivitamin, check the ingredients to see that these three of the Bs are included. You need at least 50 mg of each daily. However, don’t go over 300 mg per 24 hours.

Biotin

Biotin is needed for the production of fatty acids, cell growth, and the metabolism of fats and amino acids. It is often recommended to strengthen hair and nails and is found in many cosmetic and health products for the hair and skin.

Vitamin C

I'm sure you've heard of Vitamin C helping to protect you from scurvy and help support your body's immune system. But did you know that Vitamin C is also a recommended vitamin for hair loss?

This vitamin helps to promote circulation in the scalp, which helps to deliver needed nutrients to your tired out hair follicles. Vitamin C is famously available in certain fresh fruits and vegetables, but can also be taken as an added supplement. Don’t go over 10,000 mg per day.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is rather infamous for helping boost male virility, and is an excellent skin conditioner, but it can also help in the struggle against hair loss. Vitamin E helps your immune system like Vitamin C and also helps encourage free and easy circulation of nutrients along the tiny capillaries of your scalp that feeds follicles. It also is said to increase your oxygen intake.

Before embarking on any intense vitamins for hair loss program, please talk with your doctor. Any sudden hair loss (hair coming out in clumps) should be a reason to call your doctor at once. Although not always, sudden hair loss is often the sign of a more serious health problem than baldness.
